What is Toastmasters ?

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 364,000 in more than 16,200 clubs in 145 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

Ralph C. Smedley (February 22, 1878 – September 11, 1965) was the founder of Toastmasters International, an international speaking organization with more than 352,000 members in 141 countries and more than 16,400 individual clubs.

Don’t be late

The truth is, if you don't know how to speak in public , you could be hurting your professional and personal life. I realized my fear of public speaking since I was in junior high school. That was after a long time illness in my life. One day, when I was tried to speak in the classroom , I felt my heartbeat so fast , my face flushed, and I lost my words in the middle of my spoken. After that time I tend to keep silent even though I knew something that was asked by the teacher in the class. Table Topic Master

The Topicsmaster delivers the Table Topics ® portion of the meeting, which helps train members to quickly organize and express their thoughts in an impromptu setting. As Topicsmaster, the role: Select topics in advance of the meeting that allow speakers to offer opinions. On the last meeting  September 19 2020 I toke a role as Topicsmaster. I was so exciting to prepare for the role. The challenge that I experienced when having table topic session in online meeting especially when I was not in a good internet connection, I could not here all the question or lost some part of the words. For that reason I tried to prepare a slide which appeared for a few seconds before the speaker start their speech. I prepared all the question related to the word of the day which was using TRIUMPH. This question is not using the word TRIUMPH directly, but the speaker could easily using the word after they struggle in their life.
